Currently serve as Associate Pastor at North Raleigh Presbyterian Church. God called me into ministry through a friend’s invitation and a professor’s wisdom. A friend invited Tayler and I to a fledgling community in Durham: Durham Church. They are bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. Soon after, while sitting in the back of a seminary class, the Spirit spoke through my professor: “Some of you are called into ministry, but you don’t have the imagination for it, yet.” Durham Church gave me that imagination. When I was ordained they commissioned me to be a fool for Christ’s sake and to love my enemies. By God’s grace, Jesus’ faithfulness, and the Spirit’s empowerment, I seek to live this calling every day.

After 8 years in ministry, I'm preparing myself for bio-vocational ministry in hopes of planting a church. I'm seeking a Masters of Social Work degree to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide therapy and counseling. I'm also starting Beacon Spiritual Care, which will provide spiritual direction and life coaching for individuals, small groups, and organizations.
